Tour Format


The TJGA point system rewards tour players for excellence and participation. All players who complete a round at a sanctioned site receives 200 points. Players who are disqualified or do not finish a round during a sanctioned event for reasons other than emergency are penalized with the subtraction of 100 points from their total. All points accumulate through the course of the entire TOUR season. Awards are based on the point total at the season. Awards are presented at an annual awards ceremony in mid August. Age divisions 6-7 and 8-9 are exempt from the point system and will not earn or accumulate points. All points are awarded to players in their age divisions NOT flights:


  • 1st place - 1000 points
  • 2nd place - 800 points
  • 3rd place - 600 points
  • 4th place - 400 points


On Course Conduct


TJGA members are expected to conduct themselves properly at all times at any golf facility during both practice and competition, always well representing their association. Members will wear proper golf attire, observe golf ettiquette and the USGA Rules of Golf.

TJGA Membership


Participants:
Juniors between the ages of 6 through 18 living in the Texoma region. Players must be 6 years old on or before June 1st of this year and may not have reached their 19th birthday before August 8th of this year.

Membership Dues:
Annual Dues and Tour Entry Fees are $140.00.

Competition:
Players will be awarded points for partitipation and bonus points for finishing in the top three of their age group at each competition. Flights will be made after the first two rounds of play. At the end of the year, players accumulating the most points in their perspective/flight will be given special recognition. This year we will introduce a little different Championship Round for the 14-15 and 16-18 Divisions. The top 2 in the points standings in each division will play an 18 hole Match Play round during the final date of TJGA to determine the Champion Golfer in his or her respected division.
